I created a book as part of an ISTD 2018 brief ‘anniversaries’ looking at the 50 years marking athletic protesters Tommie Smith and John Carlos’ act of raising their fists during the national anthem at the Olympic games in protest of human rights in 1968. The design of the cover was focused on the redacted information in history and the veil pulled over cultural events to hide or misdirect the world by higher powers, the theme continues through each chapter and connection with the type treatment. 

​The International Society of Typographic Designers is a professional society run by typographers, designers and educators, through this project I was able to show my typographic capability and creativity which I was awarded with membership with the prestigious society.
